Hosted by Arsaga's at the Depot
Life Styles Inc. is honored to present Abstract Expressions, a carefully chosen selection of works by the Artists of Life Styles. Abstract art can be a vehicle for feelings not easily captured, allowing emotion to flow unbounded by literal representation. These pieces have been selected for their ability to convey a poignant feeling unique to the viewer. Through the use of color and personal techniques, the abstract artist expresses their soul and invites the viewer to respond.
Life Styles Inc. is firmly grounded in the belief that community life is for everyone, that all people have value and that when individuals with disabilities are given the opportunity and support to participate and contribute to the community, all of our lives are enriched.
We believe art is a universal language with the ability to unite people. For individuals with developmental disabilities, art is a way to show emotions and thoughts that they may otherwise have trouble expressing. In 2006, Life Styles began offering a wide variety of opportunities for individuals with developmental disabilities to explore the visual arts.
Professional artists serve as instructors, assisting individuals with a variety of mediums such as painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, sewing, jewelry, and lapidary. The art gallery and store is open Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. -4:00 pm, Located in the Blair Center at 5200 South Thompson Avenue in Springdale.
